There are many examples available on the internet of accounts of the Pilgrimage to Santiago. I have therefore confined myself to a simple account of Camino, divided into the broad landscape sections that are encountered. Click on relevant section name to get to the photographs for each stage. Sadly I didn't take enough photos so not all of those used are mine; those marked * have been borrowed from other websites and are included to highlight memorable sections of the journey.

The journey I took is recorded below. Thirty two days is not a quick schedule by any means, many pilgrims needing less than thirty. I was however, anxious to avoid seeing the journey as a race, rather wishing to ensure that I stopped at as many interesting places as possible, as well as finishing a day's walking before the afternoon heat became overbearing.
